Warehouse Management App

UI/UX Design/Web Design/ Interaction Design
Project Overview
Winsupply is a wholesale distributer of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and construction parts specifically for contractors. For this project I was tasked with looking at how warehouse managers can know where their drivers are and the real-time status of their deliveries.
Problem Statement
How do you design a new platform that keeps track of the coming and going of delivery vehicles in a warehouse while also being compatible with legacy software? That was the challenge for this project.
My Process & Responsibilities
I was on a team of 6 designers and a design lead at Winsupply but for this project the design lead and one other designer worked with me. At one point the design team was servicing roughly 30 developers, one project manager, the CTO and tech lead for this project. It was my responsibility to design the layout of the main dashboard along with all interactions for that page. I was also responsible for performing usability tests and leading bi-weekly design reviews with the entire team to check for technical feasibility of my designs and to keep the entire team synced with the project.
Outcomes & Lessons Learned
At the end of this project there were three other major features that the company wanted to have developed using an Angular front-end rather than the current Profound UI platform. The work that I completed on this project led to me leading the design project that looked at seamlessly transitioning from the older legacy features to the new Angular features all within the same web-service.
